There's an excellent spring that has been rigged up to the cabin in the past, and this can be developed even more. Water can be hauled to fill a holding tank, or you can drill a well. Cell phone and Internet is available using boosters, and new satellite cellular and internet providers are extremely popular. While the area has what is considered officially as 'seasonal access' the residents come back and forth through all the seasons and a number of residents are year rounders. This is accomplished by snowshoeing or cross country skiing in, or by using Snow Cats, side by side ATVs with tracks, and snowmobiles. The community has private easement that takes you through the Last Dollar Ranch, and this really increases the availability for access. There's a type of 'parking lot' on the Last Dollar Road where folks park their standard vehicles and hop on their San Juan Vista vehicle to head up to their Colorado Escape.
